Straight to the themed trail
from the Singer Sporthotel & SPA
The Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena and the Berwang Valley are among Austria’s most popular hiking destinations. A plethora of hiking trails including gentle paths and challenging peaks – such as the Zugspitze at 2,962m altitude – offer irresistible walking and climbing in Tyrol. Families particularly love the region’s themed trails, adventure tracks and educational paths where young and old learn all about the region, its landscape and its wildlife.
Mitteregg nature trail
Find out about the local fauna and flora on an easy one-hour walk setting off from Jausenstation Wechner. Different stops with water features offer rest and play along the way. The 35-metre wooden ball track is one of Tyrol’s great attractions – requires €2 coins for the balls!
Start: Jausenstation Wechner, Mitteregg – walking time: approx. 1 hour
Travel to the Middle Ages – Schlosskopf Fortress and Ehrenberg Ruin:
A footpath leads from the museum at Fortess Klause in Reutte to the Schlosskopf Fortress where interesting displays as well as a 360° view of the Lech Nature Park await. Look for the ‘magic sword’ on the walk to the Ehrenberg Ruin.
Start: Klause Museum, Reutte; walking time approx. 2.5 hours
Moosle’s Forscherpfad Nature Trail
Indiana Jones would love a walking holiday in Tyrol! Marked stations including a treehouse, biotope, animal competition, forest experience, (water) playground and a lookout tower turn this nature trail near Brettlalm at the Grubigsteinbahn midway station into a great adventure. As you walk you can also take part in a quiz. Get all the answers right, and receive an ‘explorer’s pin’ from the Grubigsteinbahnen lower terminus or the tourist information office in Lermoos.
Start: Brettlalm (Grubigsteinbahn midway station), Lermoos – walking time: approx. 1.5 hours
‘Zugspitzi am Gaisbach’ Water Adventure Trail
The 3.3km circular walk is fun and offers a range of stops for resting, learning and playing. Find all eight secret numbers along the way to reveal a code. Then check if the code is correct and find out where the treasure is! There is also a spectacular waterfall trail!
Start: Ehrwalder Almbahn lower terminus – length of stay approx. 2.5 hours
